So I just saw Deadpool 2, it was solid. Probably better than the first, and what I especially liked is the trailers didn’t spoil any of the awesome surprises. I feel like the movie was time and money well-spent, which inspired me to review a value wine next. I picked the Quinta De Cabriz Dão 2014, coming in at $7 this red blend form Portugal is an awesome value and tastes way above it’s price.
Nerd alert: Portugal is one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world, with production starting as early as the 5th century BC. The wine was exported to the Romans, who turned out to be very thirsty.
The wine is a nice deep ruby color, with aromas of red fruits, cranberry, smoke and pepper. It tastes nice and crisp; up front I taste red fruit and plum, along with earthiness, spice, and mineral. Well-balanced overall, and medium-long finish. A great value wine, worth revisiting.
